I live in the himalayas in the countryside.....in a quaint town called Yol about 10 kms from Dharamsala and 20 kms away from Mcleodganj a world famous holiday spot and home to the Dalai lama. Im away from the maddening hustle and bustle of the town and tucked away on a green mountain slope where not many people and not much traffic bother you.......I have a double storied villa and my family lives with me comprising of my 3 girls, my husband and two labradors.
I have two pretty double bedrooms with attached bathrooms downstairs with an independent entrance I want to use as my homestay. The rooms have wonderful views and are well ventilated and sunny.......lots of sitting area garden and flowers around....peaceful and a lovely place to enjoy the Himalayas.
There is a Tv with cable connection, a small fridge, 24 hrs hot and cold water, electric kettle , all these are inclusive in the cost of the room with a Breakfast.
Electric blankets and a radiator r provided at an extra cost for the winters ,summers are pleasant , lunch and dinner will also be provided inhouse at an extra cost .
There is a lobby to just sit and relax outside your bedroom........a homestay im sure u wont forget in a hurry.
we all speak English primarily........and hindi too......my husband speaks french too.
we as a family are avid gardeners, love to read, music...........driving around and enjoying the resplendent weather we have in this town.....with occasional bonfires in the winter which we would love to share with our inhouse guests.
Ive named my homestay "MERAKI"......meaning a labour of love in greek.....because i have built and created this property with all my love and energy and wanted it to have a very positive ambience and healing touch to all those who cross the gate.
We are 10 kms from gaggal airport which has three flights a day coming from Delhi the capital of India.
This room is on the ground floor ,it gets a lot of sunshine from sunrise to sunset....it has a wonderful view of the Kangra valley and it has all amenities to make you comfortable
