Zostel Shangarh is nestled under the verdant, forested mountain ranges of the Great Himalayan National Park. A vast common area at the rooftop invites you in with board games, cozy reading spots, a giant hammock, swings, and workstations with internet. Alongside, the hostel hosts the perfect environment for travelers to work, explore, and live with spaces like a bonfire area, private balconies, a local-favorite restaurant, and outdoor spaces for rejuvenation. To start the day, resort to the hostel's common spaces made for yoga, music, meditation, art, and work alike. Relish fine meals with a splendid valley view, enjoying dishes from the Indian and continental cuisines. And to explore, take a walk at the nearby meadows and settlements or hike to the hidden waterfalls, and go birdwatching on the winding trails of the national park. As evening approaches, enjoy a bonfire and set up your camp in the garden or resort to our spacious, mud-walled private rooms or warm and cozy dorms for a restful sleep.
***Property Policies***
Property Policy:
-We strictly DO NOT allow a group of more than 8 people. In case of a group of 4 or more, you might be purposefully allotted different dorm rooms. Further, if the group behavior is deemed unfit at the property, the Zostel Property Manager, upon subjective evaluation, retains the full right to take required action which may also result in an on-spot cancellation without refunds.
- Children below 18 years of age are not permitted entry/stay at any of our hostels, with or without guardians. We do not recommend families.
- Our standard check-in time is 12 PM and the standard check-out time is 10 AM.
- We only accept a government ID as valid identification proof. No local IDs shall be accepted at the time of check-in.
- Guests are not permitted to bring outsiders inside the hostel campus.
- We believe in self-help and do not provide luggage assistance or room services.
- Drugs and any substance abuse is strictly banned inside and around the property.
- Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited in and around the property premises.
- Right to admission reserved.
***Cancellation Policy***
Cancellation policy: 5 days before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the total amount of your stay.
