What We Love
Set in a quiet pocket of Richmond, moments from the cafés and restaurants of Swan Street and the Yarra River trails, this light-filled single-level home combines considered interiors with a generous garden, pool and entertaining areas. The home is air conditioned throughout, with secured parking for two cars.
Natural light filters through a run of skylights along the central hallway, leading through to the generous open-plan living areas. The kitchen is beautifully appointed, centred around a fluted white island with seating for three and finished with a walk-in pantry, dishwasher and integrated appliances. Skylights and a wide window above the benchtop keep the space bright, while the adjoining dining area seats six and opens onto the alfresco deck.
The living room has a more intimate feel, with deep upholstered sofas arranged around a linear gas fireplace. Floor-to-ceiling glass opens the room onto the garden and pool, bringing plenty of greenery into view and making the most of the home's connection to the outdoors.
The master bedroom is positioned near the entry and features a queen bed, decorative exposed-brick fireplace, built-in wardrobes and a dedicated work desk. Its ensuite has dual basins and a walk-in shower, while split-system air conditioning keeps the room comfortable year-round.
Two further bedrooms provide flexible accommodation: one with a king bed, built-in desk or vanity nook and built-in robes, and one with a queen bed and built-in robes. Each has split-system air conditioning. They share a generous main bathroom with dual basins, a freestanding bath and separate walk-in shower. A separate powder room is also available for guest use, while the dedicated laundry opens to the side courtyard with generous storage spaces.
The outdoor space is one of the highlights of the home. The timber deck is set up for outdoor meals, with an alfresco table for six, a barbecue, a comfortable outdoor lounge with a seater sofa and armchair, and a hanging egg chair looking across the garden. A retractable umbrella provides shade for relaxing outdoors. Steps lead down to the fully tiled pool and sunken spa, enclosed by glass safety fencing and surrounded by landscaped garden beds and lawn. Sunloungers sit beside the pool, making it an easy spot to settle in on a warm afternoon.
Richmond adds plenty to the doorstep. Swan Street is close by for its mix of cafés, restaurants, bars and nightlife, while Bridge Road offers shopping, local dining and everyday essentials. The MCG and Melbourne's sporting precinct are nearby, as are the Yarra River trails and riverside spaces.
